First-Ever Emmy® Award
Not Behind The Wheel Honored in Educational Media Category
(ALLENTOWN, PA) The Bar Association of Lehigh County (BALC) production of Not Behind The Wheel, created by eMediaWorks, received its first-ever Emmy® from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Not Behind The Wheel finished best in the category of Children/Youth/Teen (19 and under) Program or Special.
Not Behind The Wheel addresses the dangers of texting while driving including legal implications of this action.
The 29th Annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Awards ceremony honored work from stations and individuals in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The event was held September 24, 2011 at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.
About Bar Association of Lehigh County
The association was officially chartered in 1905 "to advance the science of jurisprudence and the administration of justice, to encourage a thorough legal education, to uphold the honor and dignity of the bar, to cultivate social and professional association among its members, to assist the courts in the orderly and efficient administration of justice and to perpetuate the history of the profession and the memory of its members within this judicial district." Today, the association maintains offices and meeting facilities at 1114 West Walnut Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Services include Continuing Legal Education, a Lawyer Referral Service, Lehigh Law Journal publication and Barristers Club banquet and meeting facilities.
